An hour of nourishing rest to calm the nervous system, support recovery and help you feel held.

This class may be right for you if:
✓ You are experiencing fatigue or exhaustion
✓ You find it difficult to switch off and truly rest
✓ You feel wired, overwhelmed or stuck in fight-or-flight mode
✓ You need a practice that requires very little energy
✓ You would like support with pacing and recovery

Restorative Yoga uses props to support the body in deeply comfortable positions.
With every part of your body supported, you can begin to let go of tension, soften your nervous system and experience genuine rest.
While your body rests, Charlotte will guide you through practices such as:
Yoga Nidra
Gentle breath awareness
Guided relaxation
Restful visualisations
During each class we usually explore two or three restorative positions.
I always open our Zoom space 15 minutes before the class begins, for those that would like connection and chat.
For many people living with chronic illness, rest doesn't come easily.
Restorative Yoga offers a practical way to experience deep rest and safety in the body.
It can support:
Nervous system regulation
Better quality rest
Improved sleep
Pacing and energy management
A greater sense of calm

Find somewhere comfortable and warm to practice, where you won’t be disturbed. I have a wooden floor so I stack 3 yoga mats and lay a blanket on top. If you have carpet, you may not need as much support.
A round buckwheat bolster
2 yoga bricks (or books)
2 yoga blocks (or books)
An eye cover (or lightweight scarf)
Several blankets
2–3 small cushions
2 pillows
A large fleece Yoga blanket (or several) 200 × 145cm
A rectangular foam bolster
A weighted eye bag (or two)
